Too Much Sugar Stimulate Wrinkles
As the age advances the face looses its natural charm. It results into surly lines causing wrinkles, on the onset of the aging period crow’s feet appears on the outer portion of the eyes. Hence it is becoming a part of regret. It has studied that over consumption of sugar encouraged the aging problems and renders skin dull and saggy. The wrinkling of the face may cause the dermis to dry, as the collagen bundle goes thinner. As a result loosing the elasticity and skin sags down.

Extreme consumption of sugar may harm the quality of the skin, and ultimately encourage wrinkling. The diet rich in sugar harms the collagen and finally decreases the elasticity. The protein fibers are also damaged, disturbing the skin texture and giving rise to wrinkles. The formation of harmful by-product may cause the skin elastin to dry and become brittle. Apart from damaging the collagen, it also depends on type of the collagen the skin contains. The resistant power of the skin also plays a key role in formation of wrinkles. If the skin collagen bears a strong resistance against the harmful by-products and dryness, then one can keep away wrinkles for prolonged time.
On the other hand we are familiar with the so prone disease “diabetes”, which is caused by the high sugar content in the blood. It has been observed that as per the severity of the disease, the diabetic patients contain 50 times the number of the AGE’s in their skin than the normal person.
The damage to the skin intensively depends on the type of collagen it contains. There are different types like collagen I, II, and III. It has studied that glycation or AGE’s alters the collagen III to collagen I. Collagen I is more delicate than I, hence resulting into the slender skin. It has also proved that these AGE’s also inactivates the naturally formed anti-oxidants enzymes that make skin more prone to sun-burns.
Science has a key to every problem and hence recent technology in which it has proved that products containing retinoids will help to prevent formation of the AGE’s which damages the skin collagen and finally causes the wrinkles. Therefore one should look for such products that contain retinoids so as to avoid the AGE’S formation and assist to keep wrinkles away.
There are other ways too; to get control over the wrinkles is to adopt such food habits that have low sugar content. Limit food containing low percentage of sugar, and avoiding the type of sugar that encourages the glycation.
Thus it is very important to have knowledge about the type of sugar causing glycation, which will indeed assist in reducing the wrinkle formation.
